What To Do If I am In Pain From My Denture?
-
Firstly, you should always try to rest your mouth, by taking out the dentures from your mouth. You may find this could be just enough for you to feel better.
-
Secondly, rinsing your mouth with salt and water will also make a big difference.
-
Visit your pharmacist, as you can buy several products over the counter that might be able to help you;
-
To give your dentures a small cushion put Seabond into your upper and lower denture . Take out one of the cushions and trim them to fit into the denture and push it down in place by putting some warm water on it. Place it into your mouth, and it will give a little bit of cushion which can help to ease the pain.
-
You can also try Dental Adhesives like ‘Fixodent’ or ‘Polident’. Place them between your denture and gum to give cushioning, which might be enough to help you get by.
-
You can ask the Pharmacist about ‘Medijel’ or bonjella, as it will help to numb the sore spot.
